Playas de Jandia

An area of enormous scenic interest, the Jandía Peninsula has idyllic virgin beaches that have made it famous internationally.

Located to the south of the island of Fuerteventura to which it joins thanks to the Isthmus of the Wall, it has beaches of fine golden sand, crystal clear waters and a unique natural environment that range from Costa Calma, to the beaches of Sotavento, Esquinzo or Morro Jable.

In the area there are also the most rugged and beautiful beaches, those of Barlovento on the one hand and that of Cofete, where there is usually swell and enough wind to practice sports such as windsurfing.

Playa de Sotavento

La playa de Sotavento es una de las más conocidas de Fuerteventura y desde luego la más internacional de todas. Esta playa es un referente a nivel mundial para la práctica del windsurf y el kitesurf. Mide casi nueve kilómetros de longitud y en realidad está dividida en cinco playas, la de la Barc,a la del Risco del Paso, la del Mirador, la de Malnombre y la de los Canarios.
